Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Asset Integrity Manager. The Asset Integrity manager will work side by side with the Engineering Manager to meet equipment availability and budget targets. The Asset integrity manager is responsible for ensuring that assets are cared for appropriately, while the Engineering manager is responsible for executing the asset care plans.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Coaching / Mentoring the Engineering Manager who will eventually take over the Asset Integrity function
  • Implementing the asset management roadmap as per the policy/strategy established by the mine
  • Continuously improving the maintenance planning function including:
    • Enterprise Asset Management System
    • Materials and Spare parts management
    • Work management cycle
    • Regular planning and shut down preparation meetings.
  • Continuously improving and monitoring preventive maintenance
  • Coordinating the preparation of Major Shutdowns
  • Implementing a condition monitoring programme for critical assets
  • Implementing Reliability basics – major breakdowns are investigated, root causes identified, action plans implemented
  • Coordinating and ensuring third party inspections for statutory or critical equipment are done on time – electrical, pressure vessels, lifting equipment, fire prevention, etc.
  • Implementing and maintaining an Asset Risk register dependent on asset criticality and condition
  • Working with Operations to make appropriate operational decisions.
  • Implementing action plans to eliminate/reduce operational risks
  • Updating and continuously improving the Asset Management Performance Dashboard
  • Supporting in the field improvement projects (workshop improvements, training, etc.)
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • 15-20 years’ experience
  • 10+ years of Mining industry experience, including experience in West Africa.
  • Engineering degree or equivalent, post graduate advantageous.
  • Ideally, knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance techniques
  • Working experience with ERP and EAM systems – preferably SAP.
